Following on from the recent vote on the two items raised at the AGM:
A. To reduce the Annual Subscription from €50.00 to €25.00 was passed with;
41 votes for Yes
29 votes for No
This motion is carried and will be implemented in the forthcoming Annual Subscriptions which will be collected Bi-Annually.
B. Adapt a Veterans Uniform. The results were;
46 votes for No
24 votes for Yes
This motion was defeated and will not be eligible for further discussion or motioned until 2025.
At a Committee Meeting Diarmuid O’Briain was nominated and accepted the position as Deputy Treasurer, we are required to have two signatures on the ARWA Bank Accounts.
Last year we held an ARWA Members overnight at the Ranch in Co. Laois. It was very enjoyable evening with a hearty meal, breakfast next day and a hill walk. Refreshment were self provided (BYOB).
If anyone has any ideas for another event please do share and we can explore putting it together. Ideally it will be held end of September or early October coming.
The Chairman Davy Hogan is compiling an ARWA Newsletter and is asking for current/ past stories, events, photos, births ,deaths and marriages any items of interest funny , historical etc. If you would like to contribute please contact Davy Hogan on WhatsApp privately.
Finally the last of the Welcome Pack’s are being distributed in the coming week to those who were not available to collect or were omitted from the original list.
